NGV Transforms Gallery into Summer Dance Floor Every Friday Night

NGV Friday Nights is set to transform the art scene into a lively summer experience from December 12, 2025, to April 17, 2026. The program will occur at NGV International in Melbourne, capitalizing on the groundbreaking exhibition, Westwood | Kawakubo, which highlights the revolutionary work of fashion icons Vivienne Westwood and Rei Kawakubo.

Summer Dance Floor Experience

Every Friday night, visitors can enjoy an energetic blend of art and music. The gallery doors will remain open late, offering access to the exhibition along with DJ performances from some of Australia’s top selectors. Notable DJs such as Breaking and Entering, Adriana, DJ Manchild, and others will showcase music spanning the 70s, 80s, and 90s, ensuring a diverse sonic landscape.

The Westwood | Kawakubo exhibition runs from December 7, 2025, to April 19, 2026. This program explores five decades of design that challenged conventional fashion norms.
