Karaganda Honors Internal Affairs Veterans

The city of Karaganda recently celebrated its Internal Affairs Veterans Day with a special ceremony organized by the Karaganda Police Department. This event highlighted the invaluable contributions of veterans in maintaining safety and security in the region.

Memorial Ceremony for Fallen Police Officers

The celebration commenced with a poignant ceremony at the memorial for fallen police officers. This obelisk honors those who lost their lives in the line of duty, serving the residents of Karaganda. Law enforcement leaders, veterans, and active personnel gathered to pay tribute to these heroes with a moment of silence.

Recognizing Contributions of Veterans

During the event, the head of the Karaganda Police Department, Negmet Ismagulov, acknowledged the immense contributions of veterans. He expressed deep gratitude for their dedication to not only securing the region but also mentoring the younger generation of law enforcement officers.

  • Around 5,000 veterans live in the Karaganda region.
  • Many veterans served actively during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
  • Veterans continue to support young specialists through shared experiences and knowledge.

Honoring Service with Certificates

In appreciation of their service, veterans received certificates of gratitude during the ceremony. This recognition underscores the respect accorded to those who have dedicated their lives to public safety.

Cultural Program and Performances

The celebration continued with a concert featuring both active police officers and cadets from the B. Beisenov Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Notable veteran, retired police colonel Janatai Sembekov, also performed during the event.

The highlight of the concert was the rendition of the police anthem “Aibyndy Sakshylar” by the Sarayarka ensemble, accompanied by Sembekov himself. This performance served as a powerful reminder of the pride and commitment within the police force.
