Man Faces Trial Next Week for Alleged Murder of Mother in Her Home
A Kerry man is set to go on trial next week, facing allegations of murdering his mother in her Killarney home. Billy Burns, previously of Arlington Lodge, Tralee, is charged with one count of murder connected to the death of Miriam Burns, aged 75.
Details of the Incident
Miriam Burns was discovered deceased on August 15, 2022, at her residence in the Ardshanavooley estate, Killarney. Known affectionately as “Killarney’s smiling lady,” she was well-regarded in the community for her cheerful nature and love of cycling.
