The incident occurred on November 3rd, between 5 PM and 7 PM, in Tubrid More, Ardfert. The scammer pressured the victim into paying a cash deposit for security equipment.

Outcome of the Scam

After the transaction, the homeowner discovered that the security equipment was faulty. The bogus tradesman failed to return, leaving the victim without a working system and out of pocket.
