Brooklyn Meyer of South Dakota State University has made a significant impact in women’s basketball this season. Recently awarded the Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week title by the Summit League, Meyer led her team to an impressive 2-0 start.
Meyer’s Stellar Performances
In the opening game against Creighton, which is currently receiving national recognition, Meyer showcased her skills by scoring 33 points. She achieved this on an efficient 14-of-20 shooting performance. This game ended in a 78-62 victory for the Jackrabbits and was highlighted by Meyer’s dominance in scoring.
Meyer contributed 13 of SDSU’s 20 points in the second quarter and 10 points in the fourth quarter. Additionally, she was instrumental on defense, helping secure a 39-37 advantage in rebounding and recording five blocks.

In the home opener against Rice, Meyer continued her impressive performance by achieving a double-double. She scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, adding four blocks to her stat line.
