Brewers’ Murphy Wins NL Manager of the Year Again

Pat Murphy of the Milwaukee Brewers has been named the National League (NL) Manager of the Year for the second consecutive year. This announcement came on November 11, 2025, following a successful season that saw the Brewers achieve a franchise-best 97-65 record.

Murphy’s Remarkable Achievement

Murphy received an impressive 27 first-place votes in the voting conducted by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America. He outperformed Cincinnati’s Terry Francona, who placed second, and Philadelphia’s Rob Thomson, who took the third spot.

Season Highlights

The Brewers started the season strong, finishing second in the NL Central in early July.
They made an extraordinary comeback with a 29-4 record, including a franchise-record 14-game winning streak.
Milwaukee captured their first postseason series victory since 2018 by eliminating the Chicago Cubs in the NL Division Series.

Vogt’s management skills were particularly highlighted following a challenging mid-season that included a 10-game losing streak. The Guardians also became the fourth team in MLB history to make the playoffs with such a streak.
