Inspiring Woman Raises Thousands for Charitable Cause That Saved Her Life
Hannah Watson, a remarkable individual from Manchester, has achieved an inspiring milestone by completing the Dublin Marathon. This formidable challenge allowed her to raise over £2,000 for the Wales Air Ambulance charity, which played a crucial role in saving her life after a life-altering accident in 2017.
Accident and Recovery
Hannah Watson was an experienced horse rider before her life took a dramatic turn at the Llanymynech Horse Trials. During the event, her horse, Beau, tripped, leading to a severe rotational fall. The accident resulted in three brain bleeds and four fractured vertebrae.
Following the incident, the Wales Air Ambulance transported her to Royal Stoke Hospital. Hannah spent over a month in recovery, including four days in a coma and weeks in neuro-rehabilitation. The journey of relearning how to walk, talk, and write was incredibly challenging.
Fundraising Journey
Now a head dental nurse, Hannah has dedicated herself to fundraising for the Wales Air Ambulance. In her efforts, she has participated in various events, including a 10k run and the Manchester Half Marathon, raising a remarkable total of over £2,400.

Dublin Marathon Experience

“I’m incredibly lucky to be able to do this,” Hannah remarked after the race. “It’s taught me to make the most of life and be grateful for what I have.” Her friend, Ella, who supported her during recovery, flew to Dublin to cheer her on.
