This year, marathon organizers have introduced a new ballot system. It replaces the former 48-hour priority entry for returning participants. Notably, runners who have taken part since 2016 can indicate their previous participation during the ballot registration.
Key Changes to the Registration Process
- The early entry option for women who complete the Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon will now be part of the general ballot system.

- There will be a €5 administration fee for each ballot entry, which can be redeemed against the €110 entry fee if successful.

The application window for the marathon opens at 7 am on November 12, 2025, and will close at midnight on November 17, 2025. Participants can enter through the official marathon website, www.emegypt.com. Notifications regarding ballot results will be sent to applicants on November 25 and 26, ensuring a staggered announcement.

The new ballot system is designed to achieve a balanced mix of first-time and returning participants. Historically, about 70% of entries were claimed by past runners.
