The Met Office has issued severe weather warnings due to anticipated heavy rains starting Friday. These warnings are categorized into two levels: yellow and amber.

A yellow warning will be in effect from 06:00 GMT for 24 hours. This warning encompasses a large portion of the country, including:
- The entire East of England
- The East Midlands
Additionally, an amber warning will take effect from 12:00 GMT for the same duration. This alert covers specific areas, including:
- Bedfordshire
- Buckinghamshire
- Cambridgeshire
- Northamptonshire
Expected Weather Impact
Residents in these areas should prepare for potential flooding and disruptions. The Met Office has highlighted several impacts of the anticipated weather:
- Power outages
- Poor driving conditions
- Delays in public transportation services
Rainfall estimates indicate that areas under the amber warning could receive between 40 to 60 mm (1.5 to 2.3 inches). Certain locations might experience even heavier rainfall, reaching up to 80 mm (3.1 inches).
