The incident occurred late Friday night when law enforcement raided the home of a female Sinn Féin member and her partner. The partner was taken into custody as part of a Garda investigation into two alleged far-right extremists.
Actions Taken by Sinn Féin
On Saturday evening, the party expelled the woman after she failed to inform them about the raid and the seriousness of the situation. Declan Kearney emphasized the importance of this communication to prevent any association with far-right elements.
Statement from the Party
Kearney stated, “We will not allow our party to be exposed to any far-right elements.” He acknowledged the ongoing threats the party has faced, including death threats and violent actions.
Ongoing Investigation
As part of this investigation, two men have been charged with possession of explosives. A third man was also arrested in County Laois. The men involved are:

- Garrett Pollock – Facing multiple charges, including possession of components for improvised explosive devices and additional explosives.
– Charged with possession of six liters of hydrogen peroxide.
Court Proceedings
Pollock made a brief court appearance via video link and is remanded in custody until November 27. The investigation is ongoing, and the Gardaí continue to monitor the situation closely.
