INDIA Bloc Expresses Concerns Over Counting Conspiracy Urges ECI to Maintain Impartiality
The opposition coalition, known as the INDIA bloc, has raised significant concerns regarding the forthcoming counting of votes in the Bihar assembly elections. Led by Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav, the bloc suspects that there may be a conspiracy orchestrated by the ruling NDA party to manipulate the results.
Concerns Over Vote Counting
In a recent press conference held in Patna, Yadav, alongside CPI-ML Liberation general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya and AICC Bihar in-charge Krishna Allavaru, emphasized the need for transparency and impartiality from the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Previous Election Manipulations
Yadav recalled the irregularities noted during the 2020 Bihar assembly elections. He claimed that the Mahagathbandhan coalition was poised to form the government but faced setbacks due to manipulative actions by officials. He stated:
- “The Mahagathbandhan was confident of securing a clear majority.”
- “Officials must avoid repeating past mistakes.”
- “Those who interfere with the counting process act against the people’s will.”
Call for Fairness in the Process
The RJD leader urged election officials to adhere strictly to the mandate of the people. He expressed confidence in the bloc’s ability to unseat the NDA government, asserting that:
- “The public has chosen to reject the NDA.”
- “Our supporters are vigilant against any possible delays in counting.”
- “We firmly believe we will achieve victory by a considerable margin.”
As the counting day approaches, the INDIA bloc requests the ECI to ensure the integrity of the electoral process, reinforcing their commitment to democratic principles and fairness.
