Weather Alert Dense Fog Reduces Visibility to Under 200m in Honam Region Icy Roads and Hazardous Driving Conditions
The Honam region is currently experiencing thick fog that has significantly reduced visibility. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, visibility has dropped to under 200 meters in Gwangju and the Jeollanam-do interior. Along the coastal areas of Jeollanam-do, visibility is less than 1 kilometer.

Motorists are advised to drive cautiously, especially near bridges, rivers, and valleys where fog conditions are more severe. The dense fog may also disrupt air travel, so passengers are encouraged to check flight information beforehand.

- March 16: Morning lows expected to be around 3-9°C, with highs between 18-20°C.

Beginning tomorrow afternoon, from 12 PM to 6 PM, winds in the southern West Sea are anticipated to strengthen, reaching speeds of 28–47 km/h (8–13 m/s). Wave heights are expected to rise to 1.0-2.5 meters, prompting caution for vessels navigating these waters.
