Tragic Dundalk Collision Leaves Several Dead and Others Injured

A serious road traffic collision in Dundalk has resulted in several fatalities and injuries. This tragic incident occurred on Saturday night in County Louth. The two-vehicle crash took place on the Ardee Road shortly after 9 PM.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact number of people who lost their lives. The deceased individuals remain at the accident scene as investigations proceed. Numerous others sustained injuries and were transported to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment.

The section of the L3168 road is currently closed between the N52 and the R171. This closure will remain in effect pending a technical examination by forensic collision investigators. Traffic diversions have been established in the area to alleviate congestion.
