On Saturday night, a tragic crash in Dundalk, County Louth, resulted in the deaths of five young adults in their 20s. The incident occurred shortly after 9 PM on the Ardee Road in the townland of Gibstown.

Details of the Crash

The collision involved two vehicles, one being a Volkswagen Golf. All five deceased were occupants of the Golf, which had connections to Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, Drumconrath, County Louth, and Scotland. A sixth male passenger in the Golf sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized.

Injuries and Emergency Response

Additionally, two individuals in a Toyota Land Cruiser were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The L3168 road remains closed for a forensic investigation, and local traffic diversions are presently in effect.
