I’m A Celebrity Updates Bushtucker Trial Rules in Exciting Twist
ITV has announced exciting updates to the Bushtucker Trial rules for this year’s season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! In a significant change aimed at fairness, contestants will no longer be able to be voted for trials consecutively over multiple days.
New Bushtucker Trial Rules Explained
The revised format restricts individual contestants to a maximum of two trials in a row. After participating in two consecutive trials, a celebrity will sit out the next day. This initiative aims to ensure that all campmates have the chance to participate and showcase their abilities.
Reasons for the Rule Change
Last season witnessed DJ Dean McCullough being voted for trials six times consecutively. Former Health Secretary Matt Hancock also faced a similar fate, participating in six trials in 2022. Such circumstances often led to overwhelming stress on contestants. In a notable instance, Gillian McKeith fainted after enduring her seventh trial back in 2010.
An ITV spokesperson emphasized that the new regulations are designed to distribute the responsibility for securing food among a wider array of participants. They stated that a diverse representation in trials not only enhances fairness but also allows viewers to connect with more campmates throughout the show.
