Discover What Ruby Wax and Angryginge Ate During the First I’m A Celeb Bushtucker Trial of the Season

In the first bushtucker trial of the season on *I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!*, comedian Ruby Wax and social media influencer Angryginge, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, bravely consumed an assortment of exotic dishes. These included crickets, cockroaches, mealworms, and even a crocodile’s anus.

The Challenge: ‘The Divey’

Hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, the trial involved ten rounds of jungle cuisine. Each round was worth a star, contributing to meals for the camp. The first dish served was inspired by Maya Jama, called Cryer Jama, featuring giant cockroaches and mealworms topped with dehydrated critters.

  • Wax and Burtwistle successfully ate five cockroaches and five mealworms, securing their first star.
  • Burtwistle humorously remarked, “If that’s the one we’re starting with, we’re in trouble.”

Notable Dishes

Throughout the trial, both contestants faced increasingly challenging dishes. Wax sampled a dish inspired by Timothee Chalamet, known as Grimothy Chalomet, which consisted of a witchetty grub topped with a cricket crouton. Meanwhile, Burtwistle tackled a dish named Margot Gobby, containing bull’s tongue and fish eye glaze.

  • Burtwistle also faced:
    • The Slime-on Cowell: Six snails with beachworm reduction.
    • Russell Toe: A camel toe with cockroach-infused smoke.
    • Benedict Bum-berbatch: A crocodile’s anus, which provoked a strong reaction from him.

Wax continued with Ronan Teeting, a cow’s teet, and Dame Spew-dy Dench, which included three vomit fruits. She humorously commented, “I think I’m pregnant,” as she grappled with the repulsive dishes.

The Grand Finale

To conclude the challenge, she consumed The Knob Beckett, a bull’s penis served with a sparkler. This daring feat earned them a perfect score of ten stars, much to the delight of their campmates.

Other Trials and Camp Dynamics

In a separate challenge, model Kelly Brook and Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp participated in Dingo Balls, where they answered trivia questions to win sweet treats for their camp. They correctly answered a question comparing Kelly’s movie roles to Spandau Ballet’s UK top 40 singles, securing chocolate as a reward.

Personal Insights

In a more emotional segment, Jack Osbourne shared his feelings regarding the recent passing of his father, Ozzy Osbourne. Speaking to Lisa Riley, he described it as a shock, even though they were aware of Ozzy’s illness. Osbourne expressed the supportive nature his father would have shown him during this challenge.
