The Land Development Agency (LDA) has officially opened applications for the inaugural phase of 600 cost rental homes in Dublin. This initiative aims to provide affordable rental options amidst the rising housing costs in the city.
Dublin’s Cost Rental Homes: First Phase Details
The first phase includes 229 apartments located at Cooper Square in Seven Mills, Dublin 22. The housing structure consists of:
- 102 one-bedroom apartments
- 116 two-bedroom apartments
- 11 three-bedroom apartments
Applications for these homes launched on Monday at 12 noon, and potential tenants can submit their applications through the LDA’s official website.
Affordable Living Options
Cost rental housing offers a long-term rental solution, setting rents at least 25% below market rates. This program is tailored for individuals who may not qualify for other state supports yet find private market rentals unaffordable.
Monthly Rental Rates
The monthly rental prices for the Cooper Square apartments are as follows:
- One-bedroom apartment: €1,350
- Two-bedroom apartment: €1,500
- Three-bedroom apartment: €1,790
