Frida Giannini Revives Childhood’s Bixio Caffè Bistrot in Monteverde Vecchio Merging Design with Nostalgia
Frida Giannini, the former artistic director of Gucci, has revitalized the Bixio Caffè Bistrot in Monteverde Vecchio, Rome. Once a nostalgic café for many locals, it previously operated as Bar Faustini. Facing closure, it prompted Giannini to take action to preserve its legacy.
A Nostalgic Revival in Monteverde Vecchio
Located at Via Alessandro Poerio 21, Bixio Caffè Bistrot holds significant childhood memories for Giannini. She recently decided to rescue the café, aiming to blend design with heartfelt nostalgia. Collaborating with architect Nadia Braccioni, they have rejuvenated the space while respecting its historical essence.
