Radio Kerry prepares for festive fun with 12th Annual Christmas Jumper Day
Radio Kerry is preparing for its 12th Annual Christmas Jumper Day, a fundraiser supporting St Vincent de Paul Kerry. This festive event is set for Thursday, December 11. It encourages individuals of all ages to wear holiday jumpers, donate, and share festive photos on social media.
Supporting Local Families in Need
All funds raised will directly benefit St Vincent de Paul Kerry. This organization provides much-needed assistance to local families and individuals during the Christmas season. Over the past 11 years, nearly €200,000 has been raised through this initiative, thanks to the contributions of schools, businesses, and community groups throughout Kerry.
Funding Vital Projects
The Christmas Jumper Day campaign helps support various projects, including:
- Food hampers for families
- Santa gifts for children in homeless accommodation
- Christmas Day Meals on Wheels
- Kerry Education Fund
Sinéad Donnelly, Area President of St Vincent de Paul Tralee and West Kerry, highlighted the impact of the fundraiser. She noted that last year in Tralee and West Kerry, the organization spent €364,000 supporting families and individuals in need. This assistance is made possible through initiatives like Christmas Jumper Day.
