Sadie Sink is not new to the stage. She made her Broadway debut at age 10 in the musical Annie. Additionally, she played a young Princess Elizabeth in Peter Morgan’s The Audience. Earlier this year, Sink earned a Tony Award nomination for her lead role in John Proctor Is the Villain.
James Bierman, the producer, praised Sink’s stage presence, highlighting her deep-rooted experience in theater. He noted that their initial meeting with director Icke lasted for four hours, which involved workshops that solidified her casting in the production.
Production Insights
The choice of Romeo and Juliet resonates personally for Icke, as it was his first professional direction in 2012. He aims to explore themes of time and fate within Shakespeare’s tale. The characters of Romeo and Juliet will be depicted with new layers, offering a dynamic and engaging interpretation.

Besides her stage debut, Sink is currently filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, set to release on July 31, 2024. She will also join the cast of an upcoming Avengers film scheduled to begin shooting in London in late 2026.
