Eurovision 2026: Essential Ticket Info, Postcard Insights, and Volunteer Opportunities Revealed

ORF, the host broadcaster for Eurovision Song Contest 2026, has provided exciting updates regarding ticket sales, volunteer opportunities, and artistic elements for the event.

Innovative Postcard Designs

Gebhardt Productions is creating unique Postcards for the Eurovision 2026. These artistic pieces will combine analog and digital experiences. Each Postcard starts with artists viewing a scene from Austria before being digitally transported to the country’s breathtaking landscapes.

  • Postcards will be collectible physical items for fans.
  • Filming began in October to showcase Austria’s seasons.
  • This initiative honors the first ‘correspondence card‘ sent from Austria-Hungary in 1869.

Ticketing Process

As demand is expected to be significant, ORF is implementing a multi-stage ticketing system. This approach aims to ensure fair access for all fans.

  • The registration phase starts on November 24.
  • This process will minimize bot purchases and unauthorized resale.
  • Only individuals following the official steps can secure valid tickets.

Volunteer Opportunities

ORF is also recruiting up to 800 volunteers to assist from May 1 to May 17. Volunteers will work in various locations, including:

  • Media Centre
  • Information Desks
  • Eurovision Village
  • The airport

Applications are open to adults eager to contribute and proficient in both German and English.

Commitment to Sustainability and Inclusion

Hosting an eco-friendly Eurovision is a priority for ORF. They plan to comply with ‘Green Event‘ and ‘Green Producing‘ standards to reduce the event’s CO₂ footprint. Key initiatives include:

  • Energy-efficient lighting
  • Sustainable procurement
  • Effective waste management strategies

The Wiener Stadthalle will leverage its photovoltaic system for power. Additionally, only eco-certified catering will be provided.

Accessibility remains a focal point, with plans for music signing in International Sign Language, along with subtitles and audio descriptions to ensure the event is inclusive for all audiences. ORF aims to carry forward the accessibility achievements from the 2015 contest.

General Director Roland Weißmann emphasized the importance of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest. The goal is to create a festival that promotes unity and memorable experiences while emphasizing environmental responsibility and inclusivity.
