Discover Three Exciting Summer Destinations Now Accessible from Bristol Airport with easyJet Flights
easyJet is expanding its reach from Bristol Airport with three new summer routes set to launch in April and May 2024. These destinations include Cape Verde, Seville, and Bari, increasing the airline’s total offerings to nearly 90 locations. This move marks a significant enhancement of the travel options available for passengers in the South West of England.
New Summer Routes from Bristol Airport
- Cape Verde: Flights begin on May 1, operating Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- Seville: Service starts on May 2, with flights every Tuesday and Saturday.
- Bari: This route launches on April 18, with twice weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
These additions follow the airline’s recent announcement of routes to Reus, Spain, and Thessaloniki, Greece, scheduled for next summer. EasyJet is now the first budget airline to offer direct flights to these five new destinations from Bristol, contributing to over 130 destinations in 33 countries accessible from the airport.
Increased Connectivity and Choices
Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK country manager, emphasized the airline’s commitment to providing affordable travel options. He noted that the introduction of these new routes, alongside package holiday offerings, enhances customer choice for summer travel.
Rupert Lawrie, commercial director at Bristol Airport, shared his enthusiasm regarding the new routes. He highlighted Seville’s cultural richness as a major draw for both leisure and business travelers, particularly within the aerospace industry due to the ties with Airbus’ facility in the region.
Significance of New Destinations
Bari will be particularly notable as it becomes the only direct flight option from an English airport outside of London to this beautiful Italian destination. Cape Verde’s inclusion also reflects a growing interest in tropical getaways, attracting vacationers seeking sun-soaked experiences.
In addition to these summer routes, easyJet is also enhancing its winter offerings from Bristol. A new route to Vienna commenced recently, along with an upcoming service to Verona, further diversifying travel options for passengers.
