Supporters of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva gathered in Brasília on Saturday, celebrating the arrest of former President Jair Bolsonaro. This public demonstration took place outside the Federal Police headquarters, where Bolsonaro is being detained.
Celebrations Mark Bolsonaro’s Arrest
The event featured various expressions of jubilation. A prominent participant, musician Fabiano Trompetista, played a funeral march and a song titled “It’s Time for Jair,” which drew applause from the crowd. Participants included three women who popped champagne in front of the police facility, wearing shirts with slogans such as “cleanse your soul, Brazil.”

Kicis expressed her disapproval, stating, “This is the kind of situation where you see people celebrating such injustice.” Despite the divisions, some Bolsonaro supporters were present at the scene, with one woman draping herself in the Brazilian flag and another displaying stickers on her mouth.
