Marcello Hernández & Skyler Gisondo Cast as Shrek & Fiona’s Sons in ‘Shrek 5’
Exciting news has emerged for fans of the beloved Shrek franchise. Marcello Hernández, known for his work on Saturday Night Live, and Skyler Gisondo, recognized for his role in Superman, have been cast as Shrek and Fiona’s sons, Fergus and Farkle, in the upcoming Shrek 5.
Shrek 5 Release Information
Shrek 5 is set to be released in theaters on June 30, 2027. The film will bring back iconic characters, with Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz reprising their roles as Shrek, Donkey, and Fiona, respectively.

Creative Team Behind Shrek 5
DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures continue to lead the franchise. Shrek 5 is directed by renowned veterans Conrad Vernon and Walt Dohrn. Vernon previously directed Shrek 2 and serves as the voice of the Gingerbread Man, also known as Gingy. Dohrn has contributed to several films in the series as a writer and artist and voiced Rumpelstiltskin in Shrek Forever After.

The film is produced by Gina Shay, who has experience from the Trolls films and Shrek Forever After. Chris Meledandri, an Academy Award nominee and CEO of Illumination, is also part of the production team, known for popular franchises such as Despicable Me and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
