Discover the Return Date for Christmas FM and Enjoy Non-Stop Festive Tunes

As December approaches, many are now thinking about the Christmas festivities. Some are already shopping for gifts, while others eagerly prepare their homes for the holiday. But one tradition is anticipated by families across Ireland: the launch of Christmas FM, a cherished radio station that partners with the season.

Christmas FM Launch Date and Schedule

This year, Christmas FM officially kicks off on Friday, November 28. The station will provide a continuous stream of holiday classics until December 27. Following this period, live programming will transition exclusively online until January 1, where listeners can enjoy festive tunes until 1 AM.

Special Launch Events

  • Pre-Launch Mayhem: Scheduled for November 28 from 11 AM to 12 PM, featuring a cast of elves.
  • Christmas Sleigh Ride: A live event from Tesoc in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Dublin, at 1 PM.
  • Musical Highlights: The launch day will include popular songs such as “Driving Home for Christmas,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” and “Winter Wonderland.”

Supporting Charities Through Music

This year, Christmas FM continues its commitment to charity through the “The Magic of Christmas” initiative. The campaign supports various children’s charities, including Barnardos, Barretstown, and Make-A-Wish Ireland. From 2022 to 2024, the program successfully raised €1 million and is now set to raise an additional €1 million over the next three years.

Words from the Co-Founder

Garvan Rigby, co-founder of Christmas FM, expressed excitement about the station’s return, stating, “We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Christmas FM is back to Switch Christmas On across Ireland for 2025. We can’t wait to spread Christmas cheer and joy throughout the holiday season.”

Valuable Partnerships

This year, Christmas FM continues its partnerships with major brands such as An Post, Cadbury, and Coca-Cola as their premier FM sponsors. Additionally, The Clayton Hotel in Liffey Valley generously provides the studio space required for broadcasting.

As Christmas FM prepares for another festive season, its commitment to community and charity remains stronger than ever, supported by listeners and volunteers who have contributed to its 18-year journey on air.
