• Porridge Oats: Dunnes Stores Organic Porridge Oats are pulled from shelves due to the possible presence of plastic pellets.
• Children’s Toys: Several toys sold on the Shein platform have been recalled due to choking and burns risks.
• Chargers: Certain chargers are included in the recall due to risks of electric shock, fire, and injuries.

Porridge Oats Recall

Dunnes Stores has initiated a recall for its Organic Porridge Oats. The recall stems from concerns regarding potential clear plastic contamination. Notice of the recall has been communicated to retailers for point of sale displays.

Shein Toy Recalls

Shein has recalled multiple children’s items:

• Puppy Plush Toy: Contains small detachable parts, posing a choking hazard. Batch number: prx255.
• Mermaid Dress: Risks catching fire, leading to possible burns. Bar code: PB2506250174013. Notable batch numbers include 20250615.

Approximately 68 units of these products are in circulation within the Republic of Ireland.

Charger Recall

A recent recall of chargers sold via online platforms highlights severe safety issues. The CCPC identified problems, such as poor insulation and inadequate thermal protection, leading to risks of electric shock and fire.

Temu Product Recalls

Products sold on the Temu app also face recalls, including:

• Cat Paw Squishy: Identified with harmful phthalate levels. Model number: JY100, Batch number: 24100112.
• Musical Rattle Toy: Contains small parts that may detach, posing a choking risk. Model number: W0007 – green, Batch number: 20240330.
• Plush White Duck: Also presents a choking hazard. Batch number: 2024/04/20.

Approximately 103 cat paw squishies and 6 white duck plush toys are affected. Further, around 74 musical rattles are under recall due to the same concerns.
