Jess Glynne Unveils Emotional Reason Behind Missing Alex Scott’s I’m A Celebrity Departure

Singer Jess Glynne recently revealed her emotional reason for not being present to greet her girlfriend, Alex Scott, after the latter’s eviction from the reality show, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! This revelation came just weeks after Glynne’s mother suffered a major stroke, necessitating urgent brain surgery.

Alex Scott’s Departure from I’m A Celebrity

The former England footballer, Alex Scott, was the first contestant eliminated from the 2025 season of I’m A Celebrity. During her time in the camp, she participated in various challenges, including a skydive from 12,000 feet and encounters with offal. Scott’s exit was met with cheers from her campmates, who celebrated her participation despite her early exit.

Glynne took to Instagram to express her pride in Scott’s performance. She commented that, although her girlfriend left sooner than deserved, she remains incredibly proud of her partner’s efforts. “She didn’t get the airtime to show how incredible she really is,” Glynne noted, indicating this experience is just the beginning for Scott.

Jess Glynne’s Family Crisis

In a heartfelt message, Glynne explained her absence from Scott’s exit, stating, “Over the last few weeks, my mum suffered a major stroke and needed urgent brain surgery. It’s been a really life-altering time for my family.” She emphasized that Alex would want her to be with her family during this challenging period.

Scott’s Experience in the Jungle

During her stay in the jungle, Scott formed strong bonds with her fellow contestants. She highlighted the importance of connecting with those around her, stating it allowed her to simply be herself. Scott was up for eviction alongside several notable personalities, including Jack Osbourne, rapper Aitch, and model Kelly Brook. Ultimately, she and Brook were the final two contenders for eviction.

Reflections on the Jungle

Scott expressed her appreciation for the friendships she forged. “It’s the best thing I’ve done for years,” she shared during her time in the camp. In an emotional farewell speech, contestant Martin Kemp acknowledged the deep connections formed during the competition and the special bonds they created.

Looking ahead, Scott mentioned her aspirations for the show’s crown, endorsing EastEnders actress Shona McGarty for Queen of the Jungle, believing it would boost McGarty’s confidence in life.
