Edward N. Hoffman Passes Away; Porto Funeral Homes Announce Services
Edward N. “Eddie” Hoffman, aged 62, passed away at his residence in New Haven on November 27, 2025. Born on May 25, 1963, he was the son of Marjorie Mirabella Hoffman and the late William E. Hoffman.
Family and Legacy
Eddie is mourned by several family members. He is survived by his siblings:
- Elaine (Reid) Parrington of Guilford
- Lynne (Ronald) Scarpa of Killingworth
- William (Claire) Hoffman of East Haven
- Robert T. Hoffman of Hamden
Additionally, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews who cherished him greatly.
Career in Education
Before his retirement, Eddie dedicated his career to teaching with the New Haven Board of Education. His impact on students and the community will be remembered fondly.
Memorial Service Details
A parlor service is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. The services will take place at Porto Funeral Home, located at 234 Foxon Rd. in East Haven. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the same day.
