Mother and Stepfather Charged in Infant Rebecca Park’s Tragic Death
In a tragic case that has shocked the community, 22-year-old Rebecca Park and her unborn child have been confirmed as victims in a murder involving immediate family members. Her biological mother, Cortney Bartholomew, 40, and stepfather, Bradly Bartholomew, 47, have been charged with multiple offenses related to their deaths.

Authorities have accused the couple of first-degree premeditated murder, felony murder, torture in a place of confinement, and assault of a pregnant woman, among other charges. According to Wexford County Prosecutor Johanna Carey, the Bartholomews had meticulously planned this heinous crime before luring Park to a remote area in northern Michigan.
Details of the Crime
Rebecca Park was reported missing on November 4. Tragically, her body was discovered in the Huron-Manistee National Forest on November 25, at which point her unborn baby was not found. Prosecutor Carey described the actions of the Bartholomews as “evil personified,” citing the brutality of the crime where they allegedly forced Park to the ground and stabbed her as they attempted to cut the baby from her womb.
