Castain Advances as MAC Hermann Semifinalist; TCU Stars Secure All-Region Honors
Five members of the TCU women’s soccer team received honors from United Soccer Coaches, as announced on Tuesday. Senior Seven Castain has been recognized as a MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist. Meanwhile, teammates Morgan Brown, Kamdyn Fuller, Cameron Patton, and Sydney Becerra were named to the All-Midwest Team.
Seven Castain: A Standout Player
Seven Castain has made a significant impact during her time at TCU. She is currently tied for the school’s single-season record with 17 goals. With a total of 38 points, she ranks second in program history for a single season.
This season, Castain has shown her scoring prowess with six multi-goal matches, including two hat tricks. In the NCAA Tournament, she has scored five goals in two matches, demonstrating her strong offensive skills against teams like Grambling State and Memphis.
All-Midwest Team Recognition
- Morgan Brown: A versatile player with three goals and five assists in 22 matches.
- Kamdyn Fuller: Big 12 Freshman of the Year with four goals and five assists in over 1600 minutes of play.
- Cameron Patton: A defender who has contributed four goals and eight assists, spending nearly 2000 minutes on the field.
- Sydney Becerra: In her final season, she has recorded six goals and eight assists, including a crucial game-winning penalty against Vanderbilt.
Upcoming Events and Awards
On December 10, finalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy will be announced. The award banquet is scheduled for January 9, 2026, at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
Fans can support the TCU women’s soccer team as they compete in their first-ever College Cup. They will face the Florida State Seminoles on Friday at 5 p.m. at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
