England will compete against Wales, Tonga, and Zimbabwe in the 2027 Rugby World Cup pool stages. As the top-seeded team in Pool F, England is ranked third overall in the tournament.
2027 Rugby World Cup Pool Stages
This event will take place in Australia from October 1 to November 13, 2027. The teams are divided into six pools, each consisting of four nations, based on their world rankings.

Seeding and Format
The teams were seeded based on their world rankings prior to the draw. England was placed in Band 1 alongside South Africa, New Zealand, Ireland, France, and Argentina.
Australia, as the host nation, was in Band 2. Other teams in Band 2 include Fiji, Scotland, Italy, Wales, and Japan. Band 3 includes Georgia, Uruguay, Spain, the United States, Chile, and Tonga, while Band 4 consists of Samoa, Portugal, Romania, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, and Canada.
Advancement to Knockout Stages
The format allows the top two teams from each pool to advance to the knockout stage. These teams will be joined by the four best third-place teams.
The top team in Pools A, B, C, and D will compete against the third-placed teams from other groups. Runners-up in Pools A and C will face off against the runners-up in Pools E and F, while winners from Pools E and F will take on the runners-up from Pools B and D.
