Shane’s escape began early Monday morning, around 1:20 a.m., after he reportedly walked out of the hospital following a suicide attempt. Here are the key events:

He steals an SUV parked nearby.
After crashing the first vehicle, he steals a second car near Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Shane requests an Uber ride at Publix on Hwy. 155.

Details of the Incident

Surveillance footage captured Shane inside the Publix shortly after his escape from the hospital. He requested an Uber ride, directing the driver to a residence in south Rockdale County. Authorities obtained a search warrant for this address but did not locate Shane there. Investigators continue to interview individuals at the residence.

Lt. Billy Burrell of the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office indicated that Shane may be receiving assistance. “We believe he’s either tapping into his resources or he may have stolen a credit card,” he stated.

Previous Criminal Activity

Timothy Shane was initially arrested on November 23 by Conyers Police. His charges included:

Felony fleeing and attempting to elude police.
Possession of methamphetamine.
Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Reckless driving and driving without insurance.

Law enforcement is urging the public to remain vigilant. Shane is considered “armed and dangerous” due to a Glock handgun stolen from the first vehicle he took.
