Lego has unveiled a life-size replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy, crafted from 2,842 Lego bricks. This announcement comes as part of a new partnership between Lego and FIFA, marking the company’s entry into the World Cup merchandise market.

The Lego World Cup trophy stands 36.8 centimeters (14.5 inches) tall, mirroring the original trophy’s dimensions. Unlike the authentic trophy, which is made from 18-carat gold and green malachite, the Lego version is composed entirely of plastic. This design choice not only makes it more accessible but also significantly lighter than its 6.175-kilogram (13.6 pounds) counterpart.

Pricing and Release Information

This innovative product will be available for purchase at a retail price of $200, launching in March. Lego has also added an exciting feature: a hidden scene within the trophy that can be revealed through a pullable slip located in the upper globe section.
