In light of the recent 37th round of the Brasileirão, the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) has updated the relegation risks for several teams. As the league approaches its conclusion, the threat of descending to Série B remains significant for a number of clubs, with Sport and Juventude already confirmed for relegation.

Currently, five teams are in the relegation battle: Internacional, Vitória, Fortaleza, Ceará, and Santos. The latest calculations reveal the following risks for these clubs:

The significant rise in risk for Internacional can be attributed to their recent loss of 3-0 against São Paulo. Their probability of relegation has more than doubled from 36.8% to 77.6% following this defeat. Meanwhile, Vitória’s situation worsened after a 4-0 loss to Red Bull Bragantino, pushing their risk of falling to 65%.

Fortaleza and Ceará, both on 43 points, also face risks, but their situations have recently evolved. Fortaleza achieved a crucial 2-1 comeback victory over Corinthians, instilling a glimmer of hope. Ceará, however, suffered a narrow loss to Flamengo, further complicating their chances.
Santos reduced their relegation fears significantly with a commanding 3-0 win over Juventude, with Neymar scoring all three goals. Their risk of relegation plummeted from 51.4% to just 2% following this decisive result.
