RTÉ Revamps Flagship News Programmes Introducing Tommy Meskill as Six One Co-Host
RTÉ has announced significant changes to its flagship news programmes, introducing new presenters in a bid to enhance its news coverage. Tommy Meskill will join Sharon Tobin as the co-presenter of the Six One News on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player. This move is part of the company’s updated weekday schedule.
New Line-Up for Radio and Television
In addition to Meskill, established journalists Sarah McInerney and Justin McCarthy are set to join Gavin Jennings and Audrey Carville as regular presenters of Morning Ireland on RTÉ Radio 1. This programme is noted as Ireland’s most-listened-to radio show.
Paul Cunningham, who currently serves as a political correspondent, will take over presenting duties for This Week on RTÉ Radio 1 every Sunday at 1 PM. He will also contribute to the Behind the Story podcast alongside Fran McNulty and other presenters throughout the week.
