I’m A Celebrity Finalists Brave Rats and Cockroaches in Thrilling Bushtucker Trials Finale

The finalists of the popular reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! faced their final Bushtucker trials, completing a series of thrilling challenges involving various critters. The contestants bravely confronted cockroaches, rats, and spiders in a finale filled with excitement.

Finalists Face Gruesome Challenges

The finalists included Tom Read Wilson, Morgan Burtwistle, and Shona McGarty. Each contestant endured distinctive trials tailored to test their limits and grit.

• Tom Read Wilson: Participated in a remarkable eating challenge. He consumed a fermented duck egg, scorpion, camel’s brain, and a pig’s vagina.
• Morgan Burtwistle: Known as Angryginge on YouTube, he faced a daunting task of placing his head inside helmets filled with various insects.
• Shona McGarty: The former EastEnders actress tackled the Rat Race challenge, where she collected stars while surrounded by rats and other creepy crawlers.

An Emotional Journey

After completing their trials, the finalists expressed their feelings about the experience. McGarty, 34, shared her transformation: “Coming in here has been pretty life-changing for me.”

Wilson, 39, said, “I will leave a completely different person… it is transformative, like nothing else I’ve ever known.” Burtwistle, age 24, expressed his excitement at making it to the finals, stating, “I’m absolutely ecstatic that I’ve made it to the final of the show.”

Highlights from The Bushtucker Trials

• Rat Race Challenge: In this challenge, McGarty used her mouth to remove stars while dealing with a box filled with rats, cockroaches, crickets, and mealworms.
• Helmets of Hell: Burtwistle found stars by unscrewing them from boxes while his head was covered in various critters, such as snakes and spiders.
• Bushtucker Bonanza: Wilson faced an array of exotic dishes, which included camel’s brain described as “foie gras that’s gone bad,” and a huntsman spider.

Grand Feast for the Victorious Finalists

Each contestant chose their preferred meal for the finale. McGarty opted for a Diet Coke, prawns pil pil, boiled bacon and cabbage, and a chocolate fudge cake. Wilson selected a champagne coupe, smoked salmon, and venison with sides. Burtwistle ordered a Coke, double cheeseburger, and dessert of carrot cake.

Reflecting on their journey, Burtwistle noted, “The fact we’ve earned it? We’ve suffered trial after trial, challenge after challenge.” Their determination and resilience shone as they wrapped up this thrilling season.
