DJ Tim Westwood denies rape and assault charges in court appearance
Former DJ Tim Westwood has denied serious allegations of rape and assault during a court hearing held in London.

The 68-year-old Westwood is facing significant legal challenges, with multiple charges against him. He is accused of:
- Four counts of rape
- Nine counts of indecent assault
- Two counts of sexual assault
These charges involve allegations made by seven women, some of whom were as young as 17 years old. The incidents span from 1983 to 2016.

Notably, three indecent assault incidents are reported to have occurred within BBC studios back in 1996. Westwood was a prominent figure in UK radio, having hosted shows on BBC Radio 1 from 1994 to 2013, and later on Capital Xtra until 2022.
Court Appearance
During his appearance at Southwark Crown Court on Monday morning, Westwood was modestly dressed in black jeans and a burgundy shirt. He confirmed his identity and entered his pleas without additional comments.
