The introduction of this program comes in response to concerns raised by Jose Alejandro Vargas Valencia, a student representative at ROC Amsterdam – Flevoland. He questioned why MBO students should not have the same access to sports facilities as those enrolled in higher education institutions.
According to Mbarki, a spokesperson for the initiative, this program aims to level the playing field. By allowing MBO students to engage in sports, they gain similar advantages during their studies as those pursuing higher academic paths.
