Arrest Made Following Cattle Recovery
Following a thorough investigation, a man in his 30s was arrested by the Gardaí. The arrest was made under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. The man was subsequently taken to a Garda station in Cork for questioning.

On December 8, searches were conducted in the Ballydehob area by a coordinated team. Members from the serious crime units in Clonakilty, Bandon, and Bantry worked alongside the divisional search team and the Department of Agriculture to locate the missing cows.
