Strictly Come Dancing Star Suffers Multiple Injuries After Dramatic Fall

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Pete Wicks recently suffered multiple injuries from a dramatic fall just days before a public appearance. The incident left him with a severely damaged knee, a broken tooth, and facial injuries, which he described as a “smashed” face.

Injury Details and Podcast Reveal

The 37-year-old reality star shared the details of his injuries on his Staying Relevant podcast while speaking with co-host Vicky Pattison. He indicated that the fall nearly prevented him from attending The Fashion Awards last week.

During the podcast, Wicks explained, “I nearly didn’t make it because I had a fall at the weekend. So, I bashed up my knee and smashed my face on the floor and broke my tooth.” He did not provide specifics about what caused the fall.

Dental Repairs Underway

Wicks mentioned that he was currently visiting a dentist to create a replacement tooth, which he was scheduled to have fitted shortly. He humorously referenced his current situation when Pattison inquired about the state of his tooth, clarifying that he was not merely dealing with a chip.

Light-Hearted Banter

As Wicks revealed his injuries, Pattison joked about feeling older due to such discussions. She remarked, “If you’re going to start saying things like, ‘Oh, I had a fall’… it’s doing nothing for my mental health because I’m older than you.”

Reflections on Age and Competition

The conversation shifted to ageing and past competition experiences. Pattison reminisced about her time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and her triumph on Strictly Come Dancing. She expressed how advantageous it was to participate as a 27-year-old.

Wicks, who performed on Strictly Come Dancing last year with professional dancer Jowita Przystał, admitted to feeling relieved after being eliminated in the semi-finals. They faced off against competitors Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Skorjanec, after which he stated he was “over the moon” to leave the competition due to its physical demands.

The public can catch more of these discussions as Strictly Come Dancing continues to air on Saturday evenings at 6:35 PM on BBC One.
