Solasta 2 Unveils Star-Studded Voice Cast and Early Access Launch Date in New TGA Trailer

Tactical Adventures has unveiled an exciting new trailer for Solasta 2 during The Game Awards, showcasing its impressive voice cast and confirming an Early Access launch date of March 12, 2026, on Steam. This sequel promises a more cinematic narrative centered on a family’s emotional journey in a fantastical world.

New Trailer Highlights and Cast

The trailer introduces a story set on Neokos, a mysterious island governed by ancient magic. It follows the journey of four adopted siblings, the Colwalls, who are each customizable. Their quest begins after the death of their mother, Ma Hin Colwall. Her last message reveals a covenant they must fulfill while confronting the rising threat of Shadwyn, an enigmatic entity spreading corruption across Neokos.

Key Characters and Voice Talent

  • Rickard Colwall: Voiced by Ben Starr, he is the eldest sibling known for his devoted and reassuring nature.
  • Deorcas Colwall: Portrayed by Devora Wilde, this character is a strong warrior driven by grief.
  • Shadwyn: Amelia Tyler brings life to this ancient and dangerous entity.
  • Anabasia: Ellen Thomas voices the charismatic yet ruthless elven leader.

Mathieu Girard, the studio head, expressed that this level of talent was not present in the first game, emphasizing how significant it is for character depth. The emotional core revolves around the bonds and struggles of the Colwall siblings and their late mother’s biological children.

Thematic Elements and Gameplay Innovations

At the heart of Solasta 2’s story is the goddess Maraike, intertwining her influence with the family’s journey. Players will explore how Maraike’s connection to Shadwyn enhances the game’s central mystery.

The game introduces a new continent, Neokos, offering fresh factions, magical traditions, and races, creating a sense of discovery for players. Girard noted, “We wanted that feeling of discovery,” as the sequel aims to present unfamiliar landscapes and experiences.

Game Mechanics and Improvements

Solasta 2 will retain the fifth edition D&D-style combat that fans love, now utilizing the 2024 SRD ruleset. The game will also include multiclassing, allowing for diverse character builds.

Exploration will be expanded with a hex-based world map, featuring random narrative events and optional encounters. These enhancements aim to provide players with greater agency in their adventure.

Early Access Details

The Early Access phase is set to last approximately one year, enabling the developers to gather community feedback for continued refinement. Girard emphasized the importance of this feedback, recalling how it significantly improved Solasta: Crown of the Magister during its own early access period. “Early Access gives us a blank shot to perfect the game before 1.0,” he stated, indicating a commitment to delivering a polished final product.
